This is my first post to Medium, and I feel its necessary to introduce myself.
My name is Parker Rex. Welcome to my Medium Page — cheers for arriving. I’ve always been obsessed with making things.
At 13, I gained 13k subscribers on my YouTube channel under the alias ParkerThePyro which would later get shut down by the US Dept of Homeland Security, whoops. 2006 YouTube was a cool place.
At 15, I built a community of gamers to play a custom mod for counter strike 1.6 where I designed custom graphics for the game.
At 20, I produced and released over 10 original tracks and 4 remixes, as well as hosted my own 10 episode show “Rex sessions” totaling 40,000 plays.
At 21, I interned at a creative agency called Humanaut where I learned about branding, copywriting and designing.
From there I began at Delivery Dudes sourcing and helping design all the cool merchandise and marketing goods.
Present day I am a product designer and product manager for Delivery Dudes. So far I have designed and released 3 apps (2 for iPhone/Android and 1 for iPad). I work very closely with developers — each day is different. Designing for the business needs.
