Learning about Parker? You're in the right spot.

I'm a fitness & software nerd with roots in Palm Beach County, Florida. I started my first business at 15 called Rent-a-son after 2 frustrated summers working the 4am freight shift at the grocery. I made 10x more that summer. I taught pyrochemistry on YouTube from 2005-2008 while running a popular counter-strike 1.6 community. I modded servers selling slots to cover costs and learned the basics of design and scripting using Gimp and Notepad++.

My startup adventure began in 2014, promoting a small dinner-only food delivery service called Delivery Dudes started by my sisters long-time boyfriend-at-the-time. I watched him grow something from nothing, & decided to drop out of college to join him. I grew up in the company, and it inspired me to pursue a career in tech after working alongside MIT & Brown CS grads.

From a tiny office, the venture sparked an incredible 7-year chapter, spanning design, operations, and product development and peaked at a $73M/year venture, fighting with DoorDash. There were 2 years there when we were getting clobbered, and it taught me how to be resourceful against those with deep pockets. It ended with an exit in 2021. In my spare time I taught product management & design on YouTube & SkillShare while learning to typescript (already knew Next, tailwind, html).
*I got invited to YC in W19 while at the company, but my idea was illegal - whoops

Post-exit I tried building my first startup - a live music marketplace. I partnered with a contracting developer friend I'd met while building Delivery Dudes. We'd go on to build tons of features and never find product market fit. It didn't work. We raised a small angel round from F&F - they're still rocking with me today. After 5 pivots, and multiple industry leaders warning us about the doom-and-gloom of the music industry, we called it quits. We had technology in search of an audience. The problem existed but the market dynamics weren't there.

In September 2023 while enrolled in an accelerator called BuildSpace, I conceptualized and began developing Map. Map's a platform blending my passions for fitness, software, and self-improvement. I believe there is infinite room for improvement in these areas. I'm excited to share more soon.

Outside of work, I enjoy golf, running and am proud fiancé to Bazel.
